AMS produces thermoset tow prepregs that are designed for filament winding techniques used for cylindrical and rectangular 3D vessels and structures. Compared to the wet filament winding process, using tow prepreg in the process can control the resin content (RC%) and with suggested cure conditions, enable their application in a variety of markets including aerospace, hydrogen-powered aircraft and vehicles, electric and industrial, etc.
AMS resin systems are matched with industry fibers and each fiber has a unique property that requires a specific formula to achieve the expected performance.
AMS offers both carbon fiber and fiberglass tow-preg to provide the customer with a total solution on cylindrical and rectangular 3D filament winding with its years of experience and design knowledge.
With the AMS resin system, the resin content (RC%) in processing is easily controlled and resin systems are matched with industry fibers. We can get nearly 100% transitional efficiency on most of the commercial carbon fiber. The fiberglass tow pre-preg is designed for the fiberglass layer for both Type III and Type IV cylinders.
